Epicenter Revised

Epicenter 2.0 (Paperback)<br>Joel C. Rosenberg    Joel Rosenberg has access and insights into Biblical prophecy that is powerful.  It makes me think, and I have come to the conclusion that we are closer to the "End Times" than I had previously thought.  Current events have overtaken our governmental officials which has lead them to a vicious game of fingerpointing and blame.  As I watch these things continue to unravel like a damaged sweater, it is reassuring to me that we have a God who is in control... EVEN when I'm not!  I believe that the Bible predicts that in the last days, evil will increase and times will be ugly, BUT those who know the Lord will be strong and live supernaturally.  (Daniel 11:32)

QBQ - Asking the Right Question!

QBQ! The Question Behind the Question

I was really challenged by this book. It reminded me of what my dad said to me many years ago: "If you will make sure that you make money for your boss, you will never be out of a job."

Now you might not think that applies to preachers, but it does! It has everything to do with adding value to wherever you are serving. You cannot do this with an "I'm just an employee attitude." I may not be the boss, but I am responsible for what I bring to my work.

By the way, I think I liked the book also because it doesn't tolerate "whiners." This is one of my pet peeves... haha

Some might wonder why I would pick a book that is not a "Bible study" or "Christian" book. Well, I think what QBQ recommends is great application of what God has said...

Anyway, that is what I think... What did you think of the book?

Same Kind of Different as Me

I had this book given to me as a Christmas gift. It was a real page-turner for me... in fact I read it in one day.

I was especially touched by how God brought Ron and Denver together as friends from such different worlds. It kinda made me think how big God really is when He works in people.

What do you think?
Do you like the book?
Did some parts of the book make you angry?
What challenged you about the book?

BLESSINGS!
